In a stunning display of love, celebrity couple, Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson, exchanged vows in a fairytale wedding set against the breathtaking backdrop of Italy. The three-day extravaganza, meticulously planned by Florence-based wedding planner Costanza Giaconi of Bianco Bouquet, and the Founder, Director and Partner for European operations at Resh & Co, was a celebration of love, culture, and unforgettable experiences.
“From the very first call with Ed and Amy, there was an immediate connection. We understood each other right away, and they shared their vision of the event—a mix between a fairy tale and a family weekend. And they had one clear and definite wish: to get married in Italy, a country they love for its natural beauty, great food, and authenticity,” said Costanza.
The couple’s initial challenge was to secure a wedding date, which they set for August 23-24-25, leaving less than six months for planning. With time ticking, Costanza and her team embarked on a quest to find the perfect venue. The couple, enamoured with Italy’s diverse beauty, struggled to narrow down their choices. As they explored the country’s picturesque regions, fate intervened when they stumbled upon the enchanting allure of Cilento and the Amalfi Coast. It was as if the stars had aligned, leading them to this idyllic setting.
Giaconi recalls the moment she knew they had found the ideal venue: “I still remember their expressions as soon as we entered the gates of Rocca Cilento Castle; at that moment, I knew the search was over: the castle represented the perfect location, embodying all the couple’s desires in its blend of history, charm, attention to detail, romance, and family management. The fairytale location for the wedding of the year!”
The three-day extravagant affair, with 200 international guests attending in various locations and settings. The festivities kicked off with a glamorous welcome party on a private motorboat “Patrizia” for a cocktail party along the Amalfi Coast, which culminated in a stunning sunset over the Faraglioni, accompanied by champagne, a menu curated by Michelin Star chefs, and performances by Krystal Entertainment singers. The wedding day itself was a magical affair, featuring a romantic ceremony at the historic Rocca Cilento Castle, where guests attended the ceremony and reception. The ceremony had an intimate and emotional touch, followed by a parade around the castle walls featuring local flag bearers, and then a dinner interspersed with performances by musicians and dancers, with the wedding cake crafted by the renowned chef Damiano Carrara. With dancing and cocktails personally chosen by the couple, the guests celebrated until late at night. The third day was dedicated to relaxation at the Giardini del Fuenti in Vietri sul Mare, where a beach club was recreated in the gardens of the location. The couple bid farewell to their guests in the most authentic Italian spirit, serving fried pizza and pasta, followed by a family-style lunch at imperial tables.
With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Giaconi has a reputation for creating elegant and sophisticated events. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to bring her clients’ dreams to life was evident in every aspect of the wedding. Costanza created a detailed mood board that included concepts and inspirations not only for the wedding day but also for the welcome and post-wedding events. For the welcome event on the motorboat, Giaconi created an informal standing event with a Capri-inspired blue and white design, intended to extend the 360-degree view of the coast and the famous Faraglioni. The wedding and reception at Rocca Cilento Castle were a dazzling affair, with the ceremony held in an enchanted forest setting and the reception adorned with elegant drapery, cascading chandeliers, and an abundance of candles. The couple’s personal touches, such as their carefully chosen music and cocktails, added a unique and intimate element to the celebration. The post-wedding celebration at the Giardini del Fuenti featured a vibrant atmosphere, with colours, personalized details with majolica prints, and a reinterpretation of iconic Italian elements, such as personalized pizza boxes and live painting of tambourines. The lunch under the lemon grove was a delightful conclusion to the weekend, providing guests with a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
With Costanza Giaconi at the helm, this fairytale wedding will be remembered as a testament to the power of love and the artistry of event planning.
