Ram Charan’s RC16 Launched by Chiranjeevi: A Rural Journey Begins

Ram Charan’s highly anticipated 16th film, tentatively titled “RC16,” was ceremoniously launched on Wednesday under the auspices of his father, Telugu cinema legend Chiranjeevi. The upcoming cinematic venture promises to take audiences on an emotional and rustic journey, helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana, renowned for his National Film Award-winning debut “Uppena” (2021).

“RC16” boasts a star-studded cast, with the talented Janhvi Kapoor joining Ram Charan in the lead roles. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru for Vriddhi Cinemas and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar’s Sukumar Writings. Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman will lend his musical genius to the project, while Chandrabose, known for his work on the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning “Naatu Naatu” song in “RRR,” will pen the lyrics.

Behind the camera, the creative team includes cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, editor Antony L. Ruben, and action choreographer Supreme Sunder, ensuring a visually stunning and action-packed cinematic experience. The crew also features art director Avinash Kolla and costume designer Deepali Noor, adding their expertise to the production.

The launch event witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities such as director S. Shankar and producer Boney Kapoor, who expressed their admiration for the project.
