Actor Swara Bhasker added her voice to the chorus of support for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Jan Nyay Padyatra’ in Mumbai, joining him alongside his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. In a video shared by Congress on its official X account, Bhasker could be seen walking alongside Mr. Gandhi, lauding the yatras led by him.
Speaking to reporters after the foot march, Bhasker emphasized the importance of the yatras in promoting unity and compassion in the country. She commended the objectives of the yatra, stating that the country has been plagued by hatred, and the yatra aims to remind people that India was founded on the principles of love, not hatred.

The ‘Nyay Sankalp Padyatra’ commenced from Mani Bhavan, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi in south Mumbai, and will culminate at the August Kranti Maidan, a historic site associated with India’s struggle for independence from British rule. Bhasker’s participation in the foot march underscores the collective efforts of the opposition INDIA bloc members in supporting Mr. Gandhi’s initiative.
