This remarkable accolade highlights India’s burgeoning influence in the global aviation arena and underscores the relentless pursuit of excellence by Indian airports.
Sharing this prestigious distinction with Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala and Zayed International Airport – Terminal A in Abu Dhabi, UAE, KIA epitomizes the epitome of world-class service standards.
The ACI’s Airport Service Quality Awards commend exceptional performance in passenger experience, recognizing 31 airports across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions for their outstanding service standards. Among them, six Indian airports have garnered recognition for their unwavering commitment to excellence.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi have been lauded as the best airports with over 40 million passengers in the Asia-Pacific region, solidifying their status as premier aviation hubs. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad has been honored as the best airport in the 15 to 25 million passengers category, while Chandigarh airport excels in the 2 to 5 million passengers category, showcasing India’s diverse aviation landscape.
The ACI Airport Service Quality Programme, developed in partnership with leading travel technology company Amadeus, serves as a benchmark for measuring and enhancing the passenger experience globally. Rooted in live research conducted through surveys administered directly to travelers, the ASQ Programme captures satisfaction levels across key elements of the airport experience, ensuring continual improvement and innovation.
