R. Madhavan and Jyothika Shine: Tamil Nadu State Film Awards 2015 Announced

Gautham Karthik and Ritika Singh were recognized with Special Prizes for their outstanding contributions, while Aravind Swamy’s portrayal as the antagonist in “Thani Oruvan” earned him the title of Best Villain, alongside the film’s First Prize for Best Film.

The accolades extend beyond individual performances, with “Thani Oruvan” clinching the First Prize for Best Film, followed by Suriya’s “Pasanga 2” and Prabha’s production earning the second and third prizes respectively. “Irudhi Suttru” was honored with the Special Prize for Best Film, while “36 Vayadhinile” was lauded as the Best Film promoting Women Empowerment.

Gautami’s nuanced performance in “Papanasam” earned her the Best Supporting Actress award, while Sudha Kongara’s directorial brilliance in “Irudhi Suttru” secured her the title of Best Director. The creative vision of Mohan Raja and the cinematographic finesse of Ramji in “Thani Oruvan” were also celebrated with awards for Best Story Writer and Cinematographer respectively.
