Enhancing Air Travel Experience: Government’s Push for Expedited Baggage Delivery

BCAS has communicated the directive to seven major airlines operating in India, including Air India, Indigo, Akasa, SpiceJet, Vistara, Air India Express Connect, and Air India Express. These airlines have been given a deadline of ten days to implement measures that ensure compliance with the stipulated baggage delivery timelines.

BCAS has initiated a rigorous monitoring process to track the time of baggage arrival at six major airports across the country. While airlines have shown improvement, their performance still falls short of the mandated standards.
