Unveiling “Matter Moments”: Alicja Kwade’s Artistic Exploration of Knowledge in Delhi

Berlin-based artist Alicja Kwade is set to captivate India with her inaugural solo exhibition, “Matter Moments,” presented by Nature Morte gallery. Known for her avant-garde approach to everyday objects, Kwade delves into the elusive pursuit of knowledge, unraveling the paradox of our relentless quest for it.

The exhibition features Kwade’s intriguing sculptures, including “Knowledge,” where Encyclopedia Britannica books symbolize the consolidation of knowledge, tethered to a stone counterweight. Another masterpiece, “Superposition,” takes center stage at the Sculpture Park exhibition in Madhavendra Palace, Jaipur. This installation, adorned with bronze chairs and locally sourced stone spheres, challenges our perception of reality.
