During this span, she averaged an impressive 16 points and 10 rebounds per game, showcasing her prowess on both ends of the court.

Woodson’s standout performances include a 22-point, 12-rebound effort in a victory over Sonoma Valley, and a 15-point, 14-rebound display against Casa Grande. These remarkable displays of skill and consistency have rightfully earned her the Times-Herald Athlete of the Week accolade.

“I definitely feel the game is coming easier to me my second year on varsity,” Woodson shared. “This year I kind of know what to expect at the varsity level. I’m finding an easier time finding my shot and playing defense.”

American Canyon head coach Angela Davis commended Woodson’s progress, highlighting her willingness to seek improvement. “What’s really helped her is her willingness to ask questions, especially in practice,” said Coach Davis.
