In a media interaction, Suhani Bhatnagar’s father, Puneet Bhatnagar, disclosed that she had been diagnosed with dermatomyositis, which led to her admission to AIIMS for the last 10 days of her life. The ordeal began when Suhani developed swelling in her hands two months ago, prompting medical attention. Despite being prescribed steroids, the only known treatment for the condition, the medication adversely affected her immune system, resulting in a severe lung infection and fluid accumulation. As a consequence, Suhani struggled to breathe and tragically passed away on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Even after putting her on a ventilator, her oxygen level was very low, and then yesterday evening at 7 pm, the AIIMS doctors said ‘she is not more,” her father shared. Reflecting on her aspirations, Suhani’s mother revealed that she had plans to re-enter the industry. “She was performing very well in college, she even topped in the last semester. She was brilliant in everything and wanted to excel in whatever she wanted to do. Our daughter has made us very proud,” her mother added. Suhani’s cremation took place in Faridabad on February 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
